A presidiare i neonati forti a Pieve di Cadore
vennero inviati gli alpini, che si stabilirono
qui fino alla Grande Guerra.

The defence of the newly-erected forts of Pieve
di Cadore was entrusted to the Alpine troops,
who were to reside here through the First World War.
