IL PORTO FLUVIALE
Il Porto Fluviale di Aquileia sorgeva sull'antico corso del Natisone e Torre, che costeggiava a Est l'antica città e che in questo punto aveva una lunghezza di quasi cinquanta metri.
Le strutture, scavate negli anni Trenta del secolo scorso, si sviluppano per una lunghezza considerevole (più di trecento metri) lungo la sponda destra del fiume, a ridosso del lato orientale del perimentro.
Il porto fluviale fu completamente ristrutturato all'inizio del 1 secolo d.C.; Tre rampe, oblique rispetto al prospetto delle banchine, consentivano il collegamento con la viabilità urbana.

THE RIVER PORT
The Aquileia River Port was on the ancient course of the Natisone and Tower, which bordered the east of the ancient city and which at this point had a width of almost fifty meters.
The structures excavated in the thirties of the last century developed for a considerable length (more than three hundred meters) along the right bank of the river, close to the eastern side of the perimeter.
The river port was completely restored at the beginning of the 1st century AD.; Three ramps, oblique to the dockside, allowed the connection to urban traffic.
