× Il Forte di Monte Ricco

IL FORTE DI MONTE RICCO
Il Cadore venne annesso al Regno d’Italia dopo il 1866,
e subito si percepì la necessità di proteggerlo dalle possibili
invasioni nemiche.
Ecco perché tra il 1883 e il 1895 vennero
costruiti i forti di Monte Ricco e Batteria Castello,
dove un tempo sorgeva l’antico castello.

THE FORT OF MT. RICCO
Cadore was annexed to the Kingdom of Italy in the
aftermath of 1866. The need to protect it from possible
invasions was felt immediately.
This is why between 1883 and 1895 the forts of Mt. Ricco
and the Castello Battery were built where there once
stood the ancient castle.
